Hi, I'm Nicky

Hi, I'm Nicky. I'm a writer, coach and facilitator fascinated by the stories we tell about who we are - and what happens when we look at them from another angle. I create writing experiences that help people notice more, loosen the grip of the obvious and find the story underneath the story.

I have had over 20 stories published in literary magazines and anthologies, and I have an MSc in creative writing for therapeutic purposes.

That Oak Tree Feeling

After a certificate of merit in the local Eisteddfod in Guernsey for a story about Mrs Blackberry, I had ambitions to become a writer! Fast forward many decades of life here and there, I returned to creative writing and now I can't stop!

This is me at my favourite childhood tree in Saumarez Park, Guernsey my long ago home. And yes that oak tree feeling is real - the spirit of aliveness, imagination soaring and the spirit of place.

My writing wafts in and out of fiction and autobiographical, about luck, transience, motherhood and place.

Come and write
